Library Clerk (PT) - Theodore Johns Library

JOB Essential Job Functions: Assists patrons with library materials; assists the public with correct use of catalog, copy machine and computer equipment, locating books, periodicals and other materials; maintains library materials by proper shelf order; processes materials for the library files; prepares statistical reports; types assigned reports; assists with other library records management or projects; shelves books.

Other Job Functions: Maintains and assists with processing materials; performs other library and clerical functions as required. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Normal office environment. Approximately twenty (20) hours per week. Work hours between Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; must be available to work extended hours and weekends including Sundays when necessary. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Data entry and a library skills test administered. Applicant selected for hire will be subject to a background investigation and drug/alcohol screen test.
