Library Collection Management Assistant (2026 Summer)

We are seeking a couple students to support the library this summer. This position offers hands-on experience with library systems, electronic resources, and technical services, making it an excellent opportunity for students interested in library science, information technology, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Assist with e-resource access testing and systems troubleshooting
• Support collection management workflows and technical services operations
• Monitor and report library systems issues, escalating as needed
• Provide circulation desk coverage, including patron check-in/check-out and account assistance
• Contribute to ongoing collection maintenance and organization projects

Qualifications

• Current Saint Mary's College student
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Customer service experience helpful

Details

• Seasonal position running May 18 through August 9
• Two shifts available: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm or 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm (flexibility in shift timing available)
