Library Director

The Board of Trustees of the Gowanda Free Library is looking to hire its new Library Director:

✓ This is a part-time position with 28+ hours a week.

✓ Pay rate is $22 hourly.

Qualification requirements:

✓ 2 academic years of study at an approved college or university.

A successful candidate will have the following skills:

✓ A positive, friendly, motivated, and enthusiastic attitude and works well with patrons of all ages, including young children and teens.

✓ An interest in literature for all ages.

✓ The ability to plan and facilitate library programs for all ages.

✓ Comfort with computer technology.

✓ Managerial experience preferred.

Position duties include those related to:

✓Administration

✓Budget

✓Personnel

✓Library collection

✓Public and community relations

✓Library Board relations; and

✓Professional development.

Experience in a library is a plus, but not required.
