The Bell Memorial Public Library in Mentone, Indiana, is seeking a new Director to take the place of our current Director, who is retiring toward the end of July. The Bell Memorial Library is an Indiana Class C Public Library serving a local population of approximately 3,922, according to the 2020 census. Mentone is located in north central Indiana, between Warsaw and Rochester, along U.S. Route 25, and is about 60 minutes southwest of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

To be considered for the position, a Bachelor’s Degree with an Indiana Librarian Certificate 4 (LC4) or the ability to meet the requirements for that level of certification is required. Experience consisting of two to five years in a public library environment with at least two to three years of supervisory/management experience, preferred.

The Director’s position has a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, with a starting range based on a typical 40-hour workweek. In addition to this, there are the standard leaves, plus a very generous amount of paid Holidays annually, and other benefits.
