BRCC is seeking a full-time Library Instruction and Outreach Specialist. Job duties for this position include:
- Provide discipline-specific tutoring, library orientation sessions, and introductory research instruction to support college initiatives, including the Career Academy, Lab School, and other enrollment management initiatives
- Collaborate with Student Services to design and implement student retention initiatives in conjunction with BRCC Strategic Enrollment Management plan
- Assist Coordinator of Library Services and Tutoring with maintaining the college archives
- Develop, assess, and teach information literacy sessions for face-to-face and online instruction in collaboration with the Coordinator of Library Services and Tutoring
- Design and deliver workshops, orientations, and instructional materials across departments at the college, including the Tutoring Center
- Assist library users through traditional and electronic reference and circulation services at the service desk, by individual research appointments, and via live online chat
- Create and maintain library guides for the library website, including research guides and online tutorials
- Collaborate with Coordinator of Library Services and Tutoring in design, development, and maintenance of Houff Library and the Tutoring Center’s web presence
- Collaborate with Coordinator of Library Services and Tutoring to evaluate and utilize electronic product and services for use and implementation in Houff Library
