Library Materials Sorter

The Lakeland Library Cooperative provides delivery of materials to 42 libraries in 8 counties in West Michigan. Lakeland is recruiting for a part time library materials sorter position at their location at 4138 3 Mile Rd NW, in Grand Rapids, 49534. The position is for 10 hours a week, Thursday and Friday from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm.

10 hours a week: Thursday and Friday from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Additional hours may be available.

Duties

Sort books and AV items into bins and/or bags to be delivered to the libraries on the Lakeland daily delivery routes. Keep the work area clean and organized. Be able to adjust work schedules to meet demands of the work load and substitute for time off by other team members. Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

Pay: $16.00 hr.

Vacation, Personal, Holiday and Sick time.

Qualifications and required skills

High School degree. Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, bend over, lift and carry tote bins, bags, boxes and other materials. Lifting strength up to 50 lbs. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to organize work and work in a team environment.
