Description:
Lincoln Trail Elementary is accepting applications for a Library Media Aide for the 2026-2027 school year. The Library Media Aide supports the operation of the building library media center by assisting students and staff, maintaining library materials, and helping to create a welcoming and organized learning environment. This position plays an important role in fostering a love of reading and supporting student learning.
Responsibilities

Assist students with checking materials in and out of the library

Shelve, organize, and maintain library materials and displays

Support students in locating books and using library resources

Assist the Library Media Specialist with class visits, activities, and special events

Help maintain a safe, orderly, and inviting library environment

Provide basic technology and equipment assistance as directed

Perform clerical tasks including filing, copying, and data entry

Supervise students in the library media center as assigned

Support positive student behavior and follow district expectations
Qualifications

Candidates must possess a paraprofessional or teaching license

Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families

Basic computer and technology skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow district policies and procedures
Salary:
Please see the attached 2025-2026 Aide Salary Schedule and 2026 Employee Benefits summary. This position also has the opportunity for an extended contract, up to 5 days.
NOTE:
Our existing 4-year collective bargaining agreement will expire at the end of the 2025-2026 school year and we will be negotiating a new agreement that will begin with the 2026-2027 school year.
