    Sage Park Library Paraprofessional Job Duties
    Library paraprofessional completes the following duties independently:
    • Catalogs and processes all new books that come into the library. Shelves all books. Send out overdue notices.
    • Takes pictures for Reader of the Month/Student of the Month/VIP/PBIS Award ceremonies, collects pictures, creates digital award signs with student pictures. Library purchases and distributes book prizes to ROM students.
    • Watches school news every day and makes slides for the school announcements based on the school news. Publishes school announcements online for display in cafeteria, on Sage Park website, and on library website.
    • Manages and supports the circulation desk (check out of books and equipment) and supervises students in the library area from 7:45 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.
    • Manages the printer and copier in the library. There are very few places to print in the building and Anne-Marie helps anyone that needs help printing.
    • Laminates for the whole school building. Fixes the laminator when it breaks. Puts new rolls on the laminator.
    Library paraprofessional supports the librarian with the following duties:
    • Supports student Chromebooks. Includes Chromebook assignments for each student, roll-out and collection of devices each year, new student orientation, troubleshooting technology problems, managing repairs and student Chromebook behavior, assignment of replacement or new device, managing student Google accounts and passwords, managing lost Chromebooks and loss of devices.
    • Support SBAC and iReady technical issues during testing periods (teachers and students) Set-up audiovisual equipment for school functions in auditorium, school cafeteria, library, computer lab, and classrooms. Troubleshoot school's sound equipment (for auditorium, cafeteria, library).
    • Technology troubleshooting with students (Chromebooks, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Updating Devices, Using new apps).
    • Run Scholastic Book Fair during Fall Conferences.
    • Support the PTO with their Holiday Fair in December.
