Marshall High School is actively recruiting licensed and experienced candidates for a full-time school library media specialist position. ;
A Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) library media specialist facilitates library media or instructional technology programs as aligned to school and district priorities. They promote the use of multiple forms of media to support literacy development and ;lead students to become effective users of information and technology skills &; tools necessary for college and career readiness. ; A library media specialist oversees the School Library Media Program in accordance with the MPS Information and Technology Strategic Plan. ;Their work offers an equitable, multi-cultural setting and teaches all children to think deeply, critically and creatively. ; ;

Applicants must be licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to teach this specific grade level and / or content area.

The Library Media Specialist salary schedule starts at $56,949.19 and increases according to the set salary schedule based on education beyond the required bachelor's degree and previous years of fully-licensed K-12 teaching or library media specialist experience. ;
