Duties

• Develop and implement engaging library programs that promote literacy, research skills, and the effective use of learning technology.
• Manage the cataloging and organization of library resources using an integrated library system to ensure easy access for students and staff.
• Provide direct support to students in developing research strategies, information literacy, and digital citizenship skills.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate library resources into lesson plans and support classroom management strategies.
• Teach classes on topics such as literacy education, research techniques, and the use of learning technology tools.
• Maintain an organized, accessible library environment that fosters independent exploration and reading enjoyment.
• Monitor student behavior within the library setting, applying effective behavior management techniques to create a safe and welcoming space for all learners.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with students in educational settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, students, and parents.
• Demonstrated knowledge of library services, cataloging procedures, and integrated library systems.
• Strong writing skills for creating instructional materials, reports, and professional documentation.
• Experience teaching or supporting literacy education and research skills in a school environment.
• Familiarity with learning technology tools used in educational settings to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Ability to organize multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $60,905.00 - $95,945.00 per year
