(LIBRARY) Youth Services Co-Coordinator

SALARY: $20.41/Hour

This is not your typical library job. In this shared role, you'll have the chance to design imaginative programs, connect with the community, and spark a lifelong love of reading and learning. You'll work alongside another enthusiastic co-coordinator and the Library Director to ensure every program, activity, and daily responsibility is covered seamlessly.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree with coursework in education, library science or another related field supplemented by experience working with children or teens OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience working with children and/or teens, showing you have the skills needed to thrive in this role
  • Experience planning or leading programs for young people
  • Creativity, energy, and a passion for inspiring children and teens
  • Comfort with computers, office technology, and common software applications
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well with diverse groups
  • A collaborative mindset: the ability to work effectively with a co-coordinator to ensure all programs and responsibilities are covered
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a love for working as part of a team


The Details:
  • Some Saturdays and evening hours required.
  • Flexibility to work at any of the four Sampson-Clinton Public Library branches.
  • Shared schedule averaging 19 hours per week, coordinated with the Library Director and co-coordinator.
  • No benefits are available for this shared position.
