LIBRARY/MEDIA SPECIALIST - K-6 PART-TIME

The Lincoln Community School (LCS) is seeking candidates to serve as a part-time (.4) school librarian/library media specialist. Candidates who are interested but not available for the full .4 are encouraged to apply and indicate their availability. The Lincoln Community School is a K-6 school of 85 students nestled along the New Haven River on the western slope of the Green Mountains in Vermont. Our school's essential purpose is to insist that all students learn to use their minds well.

Our collaborative faculty and staff is dedicated to coaching students in academic and social-emotional learning with a balance of rigor and playfulness both indoors and outdoors. We encourage each student to be and become unique, contributing members of our school and greater communities. The successful candidate will convey a love of learning and literacy, have excellent teaching and communication skills; the ability to deepen students knowledge and understanding of library instruction and the ability to form strong and positive connections with students, colleagues, and families. Essential qualifications: Licensed or demonstrated ability to be licensed in VT as K-6 librarian/media specialistPreferred qualifications3 years experience as school librarian, preferably at the elementary levelInterest and aptitude in educational technology and/or administrative technology
