We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate License Independent Social Worker to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties

• Conduct detailed intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and psychosocial histories for diverse patient populations, including children, adults, and geriatrics.
• Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focusing on mental health issues like PTSD, addiction, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and Alzheimer's care.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage urgent cases with professionalism and sensitivity.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical professionals to coordinate patient care plans, including medication management and psychopharmacology considerations.
• Collect data for clinical research projects related to behavioral health outcomes and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Skills

• Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis management.
• Strong background working with children and families in settings such as hospitals, community clinics, or special education environments.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and documentation standards for medical records.
• Expertise in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, Alzheimer's disease, and other neurological conditions.
• Skilled in case management practices including intake procedures, diagnostic evaluation, patient assessment, and behavioral health planning.
• Proficiency with EMR systems for data collection, documentation, and research purposes.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards along with experience handling sensitive medical records securely.
• Ability to perform behavioral assessments using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques when applicable.
• Experience in addiction counseling or substance use disorder treatment programs is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and engaging patients through culturally competent care.
