Licensed Associate Counselor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) to join our team. The LAC will provide high-quality mental health counseling services to individuals, families, and groups under clinical supervision. This role involves assessing clients' needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support emotional and behavioral well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial intake assessments, including gathering client history and identifying treatment needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients.
  • Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and client progress.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision as required by licensing regulations.
  • Stay updated on best practices and new developments in mental health counseling.
  • Adhere to all ethical, legal, and professional standards, including HIPAA compliance.
  • Provide crisis intervention and referrals as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Active Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) certification in the state of Arizona.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and mental health conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
