Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert mental health services, including psychotherapy, clinical counseling, and crisis intervention, to diverse populations across various settings. Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and mental health screenings, utilizing medical terminology and HIPAA-compliant documentation practices.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Implement specialized interventions for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, Alzheimer’s care, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities.
  • Manage crisis situations through crisis management techniques and crisis intervention protocols to ensure patient safety and stability.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans aligned with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards and CPT coding requirements for billing purposes.
  • Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives related to behavioral health and social work practices to enhance service quality and contribute to ongoing studies.
  • Provide case management services that include patient care coordination, intake procedures, discharge planning, and community resource linkage.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with medical terminology updates, mental health research, and best practices in addiction counseling, pediatric care, working with children and adolescents, as well as working with individuals with autism or other disabilities.

Experience

  • Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in the relevant state or region.
  • Proven experience providing psychotherapy and mental health counseling in diverse settings such as hospitals, community clinics, or home-based care environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation of patient records and medical records management.
  • Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations using ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9) and CPT coding for billing purposes.
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles relevant to behavioral health treatment plans is preferred.
  • Strong skills in motivational interviewing techniques and crisis management strategies to support patients through challenging situations.
  • Ability to perform data collection for clinical research projects while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality standards.
