Licensed Clinical Social Worker / Licensed Addiction Counselor

<Responsibilities>

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments, including diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding systems to determine appropriate treatment pathways.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and applied behavior analysis.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs, goals, and clinical best practices while maintaining detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management techniques to ensure patient safety and stabilization.
  • Facilitate case management activities by coordinating care with healthcare providers, community resources, and support networks to promote holistic recovery.
  • Engage in patient intake processes, including medical records review and patient care planning, ensuring accurate documentation of medical terminology and progress notes.
  • Participate in data collection efforts for research purposes or quality improvement initiatives related to behavioral health and addiction medicine.

<Skills>

  • Proven expertise in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral health interventions tailored to diverse populations.
  • Strong background in child & family counseling, crisis intervention, and home & community care experience.
  • Familiarity with hospital settings, PTSD care protocols, and group therapy facilitation.
  • Knowledge of medical documentation standards including HIPAA compliance, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and medical terminology.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations within a clinical setting.
  • Skilled in case management strategies for behavioral health patients with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging patients in individual or group counseling sessions while demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
