Job Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dedicated mental health and behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will provide supervision of clinical services, individual, and group therapy. This role involves coordinating care for inmates at the Williamson County Jail, providing discharge planning, and reentry services to promote mental wellness and improve quality of life. The right candidate will ensure compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR part 2 regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide clinical counseling services, including individual, and group therapy sessions.
- Utilize behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, psychodynamic therapy, and Christian counseling techniques as appropriate for patient needs.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records while adhering to HIPAA & 42 CFR part 2 guidelines.
- Coordinate care with healthcare providers, community resources, and support systems to ensure comprehensive patient support.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and monitor treatment progress over time.
- Address aging issues counseling and geriatrics as part of specialized care for older adults.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Stay current with medical terminology, medical records management, and best practices in social work and behavioral health.
Experience
- Proven experience in social work or behavioral health settings, preferably with substance abuse & community care experience.
- Strong background in mental health counseling, clinical counseling, case management, and diagnostic evaluation.
- Familiarity with medical documentation, medical terminology, and managing medical records is essential.
- Experience delivering individual/group therapy sessions using various therapeutic modalities such as psychodynamic therapy or Christian counseling is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA & 42 CFR part 2 compliance standards is required to ensure patient privacy and data security.
