Licensed Clinical Social Worker / Licensed Professional Counselor

Job Summary

WIICARE Colorado LLC is seeking a compassionate, organized, and clinically strong Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our growing behavioral health organization. This position supports outpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment services, including Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Early Intervention, and Criminal Justice–Involved Services.

The LPC will provide direct clinical care, conduct assessments, facilitate individual and group counseling, develop treatment plans, maintain compliant documentation, and support individuals in recovery.

This position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys working in a collaborative startup environment and wants the opportunity to help shape a developing behavioral health program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Clinical Services

* Conduct screenings and behavioral health assessments

* Complete biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic impressions

* Provide individual counseling and psychotherapy

* Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups

* Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings

* Provide ongoing treatment planning and care coordination

* Conduct discharge planning and referrals

* Support individuals experiencing behavioral health and substance use challenges

Documentation & Compliance

* Complete documentation in accordance with Colorado BHA standards

* Maintain timely progress notes and clinical records

* Ensure all documentation aligns with WIICARE policy and procedure

* Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2

* Participate in chart reviews and quality assurance activities

* Maintain accurate treatment plans and progress tracking

Program Support

* Collaborate with case managers and support staff

* Participate in team meetings and clinical consultation

* Assist in developing behavioral health programming

* Support intake and admission processes

* Promote trauma-informed, culturally responsive care

Crisis & Risk Management

* Conduct risk assessments when clinically indicated

* Support de-escalation and stabilization interventions

* Follow emergency procedures when safety concerns arise

* Coordinate referrals to crisis services or higher levels of care when needed

Qualifications

Required

* Active Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license

* Experience providing behavioral health counseling

* Knowledge of treatment planning and clinical documentation

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

* Understanding of confidentiality laws and ethical practice

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred

* Experience in substance use treatment or IOP settings

* Familiarity with ASAM Criteria

* Knowledge of Colorado Behavioral Health Administration standards

* Group facilitation experience

* Experience with criminal justice involved populations
