Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Therapist or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, family, and crisis intervention therapy sessions using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and facilitate positive behavioral change.
- Provide specialized counseling for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, grief, addiction issues, chronic pain, gender issues, and geriatrics.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical record standards; maintain detailed clinical notes and progress reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, educators, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management protocols and behavior management strategies to ensure client safety and stability.
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed care.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention strategies and crisis management to handle urgent mental health situations confidently.
- Strong background working with children, adolescents, individuals with autism or developmental disabilities, and diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9) for accurate diagnosis documentation; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Experience with telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling services effectively.
- Ability to perform patient assessments using medical terminology; familiarity with medical records management under HIPAA standards.
- Skills in group therapy facilitation and case management to support long-term client progress.
- Competence in social work principles combined with a compassionate approach to patient care across various clinical environments including pediatrics and geriatrics.
