Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist who embodies our core values to join our team of mental health professionals. As a Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality therapy care to our patients, collaborating with our team of therapists, psychiatrists, and support staff. This is an on-site, where you will be responsible for delivering direct patient care at our center.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments on admission, including substance use history, mental health, medical, family, social, legal, and environmental factors.
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning with nursing, medical staff, and counselors; develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans.
Provide individual and group counseling focused on motivation for change, relapse prevention, coping skills, and adjustment to detox and early recovery.
Facilitate family meetings, provide education on addiction and recovery, and support healthy family communication and boundary setting.
Coordinate discharge and aftercare planning, including referrals to residential or outpatient treatment, MAT providers, mental health services, housing, and community supports.
Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and support for patients experiencing acute distress, suicidality, or complex behavioral issues; follow facility safety protocols.
Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation in the electronic medical record, including assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
Educate patients and families about community resources, support groups (e.g., 12-Step, SMART Recovery), and harm reduction strategies as appropriate.
Participate in daily clinical rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives; contribute to policy development and program enhancement.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
Current and active state licensure and certification for (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LSW, LAC).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassion and empathy in working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical and legal standards.
