Licensed Cosmetology Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Licensed Cosmetology Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various cosmetology disciplines, including hair styling, coloring, esthetic treatments, and nail care. Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans covering a wide range of cosmetology topics such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, facials, makeup application, barbering, dermabrasion, body waxing, and aesthetic treatments.
• Teach practical skills including hair styling, coloring, threading, nail care, and deep tissue massage with attention to safety and industry standards.
• Incorporate specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy and esthetic laser treatment into curriculum when appropriate.
• Assess student progress through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their professional growth.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to adult learning.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements to ensure curriculum relevance and excellence.
• Prepare students for licensing exams by guiding them through theory and practical components of cosmetology certification.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support students in lesson planning exercises to enhance their teaching skills for future careers.

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Cosmetology Teacher or equivalent certification.
• Extensive hands-on experience in cosmetology disciplines including hair styling, coloring, esthetic treatments, nail care, barbering, and advanced aesthetic procedures such as dermabrasion and laser treatments.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to cosmetology practices and body treatments.
• Demonstrated teaching ability with experience in adult education or classroom instruction preferred.
• Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for adult learners.
• Skills in specialized areas such as trigger point therapy, facial treatments, makeup application, eyelash extensions, hair extensions, hair threading, body waxing, aesthetic treatments, nail care, deep tissue massage, and barbering are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining a professional learning environment that emphasizes safety standards and industry best practices. This position is integral to shaping the next generation of cosmetologists by providing comprehensive education rooted in expertise and professionalism.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
