Experienced Licensed Dental Assistant – Optimum Dental of Newcastle

Optimum Dental of Newcastle is looking for an Experienced Licensed Dental Assistant to join our team! This position is ideal for an experienced dental assistant who takes pride in their work, takes initiative, has a passion for patient comfort, and enjoys being actively involved in a wide variety of clinical procedures.

Our office provides a wide range of dental services and offers the opportunity to assist with advanced procedures while working in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Requirements

• Licensed Dental Assistant (as required by state)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in general dentistry
• Strong chairside assisting skills
• Experience with Curve dental operating software is a plus
• Experience with digital scanners (Aoralscan Elf Scanner preferred)
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent patient care skills
• Someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a collaborative team

Clinical Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting for a variety of dental procedures
• Assist with restorative procedures including fillings and crowns
• Assist with root canal treatments
• Assist with dental implants and All-on-4 procedures
• Assist with dentures and removable prosthetics
• Assist with oral surgery procedures
• Assist with traditional orthodontics and Invisalign cases
• Take dental radiographs and maintain patient records
• Assist with temporary crown and Cerec fabrication
• Utilize Aoralscan Elf Scanner for digital impressions
• Operate Nomad portable radiography unit
• Follow sterilization and infection control protocols

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
