Job Overview
Walnut Street Dental is looking to have a Licensed Dental Assistant join our team! Our office offers some of the most up to date technology with CBCT integration, CEREC Primescan same day crown milling, 3D printing, comprehensive general dentistry, Invisalign, root canals, and both doctors routinely perform oral surgery procedures and place implants. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the highest standards of infection control and medical documentation. Duties

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and implant dentistry.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
  • Record vital signs, medical history, and other relevant medical documentation using Dentrix.
  • Manage patient flow by acting as a dental receptionist—scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
  • Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Maintain infection control standards by following strict protocols for sterilization, handling of medical records, and maintaining a clean clinical environment.

Qualifications

  • Valid Minnesota license as a Dental Assistant
  • Experience working with EMR systems such as Dentrix.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to perform vital signs measurement and manage medical documentation accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists, hygienists, and doctors.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
