Job Title: Licensed Dental Assistant

About us: Moua Family Dentistry, PC is a private, family-owned dental practice located in Maplewood, MN. We provide quality dental care for the entire family and serve a diverse patient base.

Location: Moua Family Dentistry, PC, 1714 Cope Ave E, Maplewood, MN 55109

Wage: $30 - $36/hour based on experience.

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed dental assistant in the state of Minnesota
• Must have an active and valid Dental Assisting license

Requirements:

• Must be available to work Monday to Thursday (8:45AM-6:00PM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be able to perform designated work duties within the scope of practice as established by the rules and regulations of the Minnesota Board of Dentistry and the state of Minnesota
• Must be able to take diagnostic dental radiographs
• Perform preliminary charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures
• Take vital signs and radiographs
• Perform mechanical polishing to clinical crowns, take impressions and a bite registration, etch appropriate enamel surfaces, apply and adjust pit and fissure sealants, place and remove rubber dam, place temporary fillings and recement intact temporary restoration
• Remove sutures, place and remove periodontal dressings, place cotton pellets and temporary restorative materials
• Perform restorative procedures such as placing, contouring, and adjusting amalgam and composite restorations, and adapting and cementing stainless steel crowns
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, operatory and x-ray rooms
• Maintain a clean work environment and dental equipment in compliance with Moua Family Dentistry, OSHA and Center for Disease Control sterilization and infection control regulatory standards
• Ensure quality patient service through effective communication, personal attention to patient procedures, and resolving patient questions and issues in a caring manner
