Licensed Dental Assistant (Periodontics)

Professional periodontics & dental implants is a private periodontal specialty dental practice in Maple Grove, MN. We thrive and aspire to make differences, so that our patients can be most satisfied in our care. We provide Non-surgical periodontal treatment, surgical peridoontal procedures including gum graft procedure, regenerative procedures, periodontal pocket procedures, laser assisted crown lengthening procedure, single/multiple dental implants and soft and hard tissue regenerative therapy. Our clinic hours are :

• Monday: 9:00 - 5:00
• Tuesday/Wednesday: 8:00 - 4:00
• Thursday: 8:00 - 3:00

Responsibilities:
- Assist the periodontist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take PAs, BWX, Pano and CBCT
- Prepare materials for periodontal regenerative surgery
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with medical records systems and dental office software
- Proficiency in assisting with various dental surgical procedures
- Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Ability to perform patient assessments and document medical information accurately
- Knowledge of medical coding for insurance billing purposes
