ABOUT US:

At Brightside Esthetics, we're raising the standard of skincare and waxing through education, expertise, ethical practices, and long-term, results-driven care. We are a clinical studio rooted in integrity, excellence, and genuine service — and we are looking for a skilled esthetician who shares that commitment.

We don't do cookie-cutter or band-aid approaches to skin care. We do corrective, results-focused skincare — getting to the root of the problem and building real, lasting change for our clients. Our approach is clinical, highly customized, and grounded in science and health. Every protocol is built around the individual, and every recommendation is made with honesty and long-term skin health in mind.

We are a reception-free studio, which means every team member plays a role in the full client experience — from the first point of contact to checkout. We operate with intention, hold ourselves to a high standard, and show up for our clients and each other every single day.

If you're looking for a place to clock in and clock out — this isn't it. But if you're looking for a studio where your growth is invested in, your character is valued, and your work genuinely matters — keep reading.

JOB SUMMARY:
This role starts part-time with hours that build as you complete training, establish your client relationships, and get booked out. For the right person, this is a direct path to full-time hours, advanced education, and trainer opportunities within Brightside Esthetics. We are not just hiring for today — we are building a team for the long term.

You will work alongside our lead esthetician, learning Brightside's philosophy, protocols, and standards from the inside out. You will be trained on the root science of skin and our product lines and are expected to develop a deep enough understanding to build your own customized treatment plans — because at Brightside, customization is everything.

JOB DUTIES:

Clinical & Treatment

  • Perform Services: Corrective facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, waxing (full face and body; Brazilians for guests with a vagina), brow lamination & tinting, and body facials.
  • Build and execute fully customized treatment and home care protocols based on each client's unique skin, history, and goals — no two treatments are the same.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the science behind every product and modality in order to make informed, personalized recommendations.
  • Maintain the highest standards of sanitation, safety, and clinical precision at all times.
  • Educate clients on their skin, their home care routine, and the "why" behind every recommendation.

Sales & Client Experience

  • Present and enroll clients in Brightside memberships with confidence and genuine belief in the value.
  • Recommend and sell retail products honestly — always rooted in client benefit, never in overselling.
  • Build long-term client relationships through trust, consistency, and follow-through.
  • Contribute to studio sales goals, KPIs, and performance benchmarks.
  • Communicate clearly, warmly, and professionally with clients — you should be able to articulate the science behind treatments, explain product recommendations, and educate clients in a way that feels approachable, not clinical or overwhelming

Studio Operations & Administration

  • Learn and operate Mangomint (our studio management software) for booking, client communications, and checkout — prior reception or front desk experience is a bonus.
  • Handle client communications professionally and promptly.
  • Assist with inventory tracking and product organization.
  • Maintain studio cleanliness and flow throughout your shift.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes social media content as part of the client experience.

Team Culture & Communication

  • Respond to team communications promptly and professionally.
  • Bring concerns, questions, and feedback through the right channels — directly and respectfully, never through gossip or side conversations.
  • We assume the best about each other here. Negativity, criticism without contribution, and blame-shifting have no place on this team.
  • We win together — when one of us grows, we all grow.
  • Show up to regular team meetings, one-on-ones, check-ins, and goal tracking sessions prepared and engaged.
  • Be open to feedback and coaching; give feedback with grace and receive it the same way.
  • Support your teammates' growth genuinely and without competition.

Appearance & Dress Code

  • Uniform: Black Figs scrubs (one set provided to start; additional styles must be approved).
  • Natural hair colors only; hair must be pulled back during services.
  • Clean, polished, and professional appearance at all times.
  • Fragrance-free facility — no perfume, scented lotions, or heavily scented products
  • No long nails (clinical and safety standard).

  • Ability to start with limited hours and grow into a fuller schedule over time

Character — This Is Non-Negotiable

We can teach you everything we know but the heart behind it all has to be yours. We are looking for someone who:

  • Is driven and self-motivated — you don't wait to be told to grow; you seek it out.
  • Is genuinely passionate about esthetics and the science behind it — this is a calling, not just a job.
  • Is teachable and coachable — you welcome feedback, learn from correction, and understand there is always more to know.
  • Takes ownership — of your work, your attitude, your mistakes, and your growth.
  • Leads with integrity — honest with clients, reliable with the team, consistent when no one is watching.
  • Brings excellence to the details — preparation, punctuality, precision, and professionalism.
  • Serves with humility — you put clients and teammates first and leave your ego at the door.
