Field Service Technician (Commercial / Light Industrial HVAC Technician)

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join a growing team servicing commercial and light industrial HVAC equipment throughout Kentucky. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a motivated HVAC professional who enjoys troubleshooting, working directly with customers, and providing exceptional service in the field.

Position Overview:
Field Service Technicians travel to customer locations to diagnose, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the flexibility to adapt to a variety of service environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to customer sites to perform service, maintenance, and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment
• Diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions efficiently and safely
• Troubleshoot refrigerant systems and HVAC components
• Complete detailed field service reports and document work performed
• Communicate professionally with customers in person and in writing
• Coordinate effectively with dispatch and internal teams
• Promote service opportunities and recommend equipment solutions when appropriate
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and standard operating procedures
• Maintain a professional appearance and customer-focused attitude

Requirements:

• Valid Kentucky HVAC License required
• 3–8 years of experience in the commercial or light industrial HVAC industry
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Experience troubleshooting refrigerant systems and HVAC controls
• HVAC manufacturer-specific training or technical school education preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
