Licensed Independent Mental Health Therapist

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Independent Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and treatment plans
  • Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies or trauma-related issues such as PTSD or grief
  • Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapeutic techniques, medication management collaboration (psychopharmacology), and behavioral management strategies
  • Facilitate intake assessments ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality and accurate medical documentation
  • Engage in case management activities including patient care coordination, data collection for clinical research, and follow-up evaluations
  • Provide specialized counseling for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), pediatrics, geriatrics, or gender issues counseling
  • Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential required
  • Proven experience in mental health counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings; hospital experience is a plus
  • Expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and crisis management
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and chronic pain counseling
  • Proficiency in medical records management and medical documentation adhering to HIPAA standards
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and patient assessments effectively
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams; comfort with telehealth technology is preferred

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
