Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Duties

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
• Provide specialized counseling for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with conditions including PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s care, and addiction.
• Implement crisis management strategies and intervene effectively during mental health emergencies or behavioral crises.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed.
• Engage in clinical research activities related to behavioral health outcomes and participate in data collection efforts to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience

• Valid licensure as an Independent Social Worker (LISW) with demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy and mental health counseling.
• Proven experience working with children and families in home or community care settings.
• Strong background in behavioral health treatments including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology support, and crisis intervention.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical records management.
• Prior experience utilizing EMR systems for documentation and case management purposes.
• Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, or geriatrics is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of special education practices and working within hospital or clinical research environments is a plus.
