Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, clinical counseling, and case management, to diverse populations across various settings. Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Provide specialized counseling for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with conditions including PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s care, and addiction.
- Implement crisis management strategies and intervene effectively during mental health emergencies or behavioral crises.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed.
- Engage in clinical research activities related to behavioral health outcomes and participate in data collection efforts to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience
- Valid licensure as an Independent Social Worker (LISW) with demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy and mental health counseling.
- Proven experience working with children and families in home or community care settings.
- Strong background in behavioral health treatments including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology support, and crisis intervention.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical records management.
- Prior experience utilizing EMR systems for documentation and case management purposes.
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, or geriatrics is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education practices and working within hospital or clinical research environments is a plus.
