We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough clinical evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and intake interviews to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to ensure immediate safety and stabilization for clients experiencing acute distress.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, social workers, educators, and community agencies to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and facilitate behavior change.
  • Provide specialized counseling for populations including children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, addiction issues, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or complex medical conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Collect data for clinical research projects related to mental health interventions and treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in group therapy sessions, case management activities, and community outreach initiatives to enhance support networks.

Requirements

  • Valid licensure as an Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with current certification in good standing.
  • Proven experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, or behavioral health settings; hospital or home & community care experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical records management.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and data collection purposes.
  • Expertise in working with children, adolescents, adults with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, and older adults requiring geriatrics or Alzheimer’s care services.
  • Proficiency in crisis management techniques and trauma-informed care approaches such as PTSD care.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using tools aligned with ICD-10/ICD coding standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for individual counseling, group therapy facilitation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
