Job description
We are looking for an experienced insurance customer service representative to interact with our customers. As a CSR with Lighthouse Insurance Advisors, you will be an integral part of creating exceptional client experiences. In this role, you will be responsible for answering customer queries, providing potential customers with detailed information about our products, and assisting with various policy service items to include renewals. You will work directly with our agents to assist with daily operations to include fielding phone calls, following up on application tasks, communicating with clients and completing new business applications.
To ensure success as an insurance customer service representative, you should have a friendly and professional demeanor, good communication skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Ultimately, a top-class insurance customer sales representative is friendly and efficient when working with clients and co-workers.
Skills
· Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Excellent attention to detail for accurate filing and data entry
· Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Ability to learn new software programs unique to the insurance industry.
· Previous insurance agency experience (independent or captive).
· Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Responsibilities
· Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers as needed.
· Learn and understand insurance products offered.
· Access customer accounts and policies.
· Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification.
· Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
Qualifications
· 4-40 or 2-20 Florida insurance license required
· Dedicated to customer service.
· Previous experience working as an insurance CSR or agent.
· In-depth knowledge of insurance products and policies.
· Ability to explain detailed policy concepts in a simple way.
· Friendly and professional demeaner
· High-level typing skills
· Able to effectively relate to a customer, answer their questions, and anticipate their needs.
· Excellent communication skills to assist customers and coordinate with other agency team members.
· Proactive in problem-solving
