Shank Brothers Inc. is a family-owned plumbing and heating company specializing in new construction projects, including hotels, apartment complexes, and nursing homes. We are seeking a highly skilled Plumbing Foreman to lead and oversee our team on active job sites.
Position Overview
As a Working Plumbing Foreman, you will lead a crew of plumbers while remaining hands-on in the field. You will be responsible for coordinating projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship, and maintaining compliance with all codes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of plumbers on new construction projects
- Plan and coordinate plumbing installations in collaboration with general contractors and other trades
- Ensure all work meets code requirements and company quality standards
- Manage materials, including ordering, receiving, and job site organization
- Oversee change orders, submittals, and inspections
- Train and mentor apprentices and journeyman plumbers
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing issues
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized job site at all times
Work Environment
- New construction projects only (no service calls or drain cleaning)
- Collaborative, team-oriented job sites
Work Schedule
- Typical start time: 7:30 AM
- Typical end time: 4:00 PM
- No on-call work
- No mandatory overtime
Requirements
- Valid Plumbing License
- Proven experience in construction plumbing
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Experience coordinating with general contractors and multiple trades
- Reliable transportation
- Professional references required
