Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Leasing Agent to join our property management team! Key Responsibilities

• Prospect Chasing: Generate and nurture leads to maintain a strong leasing pipeline.
• Property Showings: Schedule and conduct property viewings to convert prospects into tenants.
• Tenant Screening: Process applications and complete background screenings.
• Rental Marketing: Advertise and promote available listings to reduce vacancy time.
• Move-In Coordination: Prepare leases, collect funds, and organize smooth tenant move-ins.
• Tenant Onboarding: Assist with portal setup and provide move-in support.
• Tenant Communication: Maintain positive relationships and ensure tenant satisfaction.
• Move-Out Processing: Coordinate inspections and manage property turnovers.
• Tenant Offboarding: Complete administrative offboarding steps for vacated properties.
• Section 8 Processing: Handle Section 8 applications, inspections, and compliance.
• Issue Resolution: Address tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
• Remote Collaboration: Work effectively with a remote team using digital tools.

Compensation Structure

• $500/week base (not guaranteed unless performance metrics are met)
• 100% commission
• Paid per job
• 1099 position

Requirements

• Active Michigan Real Estate License (Required)
• Strong sales and communication skills
• Organized, self-motivated, and results-driven
• Property management or leasing experience preferred

Skills

• Strong knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, Landlord-tenant law, and Fair Housing regulations
• Proficiency with Rentvine, Aptly, or similar property management platforms; experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills combined with effective phone etiquette and conflict management abilities
• Proven sales experience with a focus on leasing or property management; ability to negotiate contracts confidently
• Background in legal administrative work related to leases, contracts, or real estate transactions
• Office experience including data entry, filing, and handling administrative tasks efficiently
• Familiarity with property maintenance coordination and facilities management processes
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
