Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or Associate License

Still Waters Counseling Services, LLC is looking to hire licensed and associate mental health clinicians. We are a growing group practice with a booming clientele, and we have the systems and structures in place to support you in your client care and guide you to becoming a fully licensed Mental Health Clinician.

Who we are:

Still Waters Counseling Services, LLC is owned and operated by a licensed marriage and family therapist interested in expanding and diversifying our team of professionals. We currently have a team of nine mental health clinicians in all levels of experience as well as a Naturopathic Doctor who provides psychiatric care and medication management. We provide a safe and collaborative environment with an emphasis on continual growth. We work hard at developing a culture that is ever learning and avoids limitations both professionally and personally. We provide support for our clinicians by providing referrals, billing services, marketing materials, and case management.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a candidate that is ready to work and learn. Although we are open to any specialties and modalities, someone looking to see couples and families is preferred. We pride ourselves in being a collaborative problem solving team and would love another team member that is open to the ideas and help of other team players. We are looking for someone who strives to be inclusive, diverse and culturally humble. The perfect candidate would be available to start with part time, and be able to grow to full time within three months.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in professional counseling, clinical social work, behavioral science, or marriage and family.
  • Demonstrate the competency necessary to communicate effectively; understand mental health assessment, treatment and service terminology and apply these concepts; provide psychosocial skills development; implement interventions as assigned on an individual plan of care; and provide behavior management and case management duties.
  • Education and experience demonstrate the competency to identify precipitating events; gather histories of mental and physical disabilities, alcohol and drug use, past mental health services and criminal justice contacts; assess family, social and work relationships; conduct a mental status examination; document a DSM-5 diagnosis; write an individual plan of care; conduct a mental health assessment and provide individual, family or group therapy within the scope of their training.
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate and facilitate the following computer software programs: Google Suite, Simple Practice, Zoom, Gmail, and Slack.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to become licensed within 3 years
  • Ability to become CADC1 certified within two years
  • Special interest in individual modalities such as: EFT, CBT, DBT, ACT, Narrative, Strength-Based, Somatic, EMDR, etc.
  • Special interest in a niche model or therapy
  • Couple and Family focused services
  • Integration of art, music, dance, somatic therapies encouraged

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $58,344.00 - $113,828.00 per year

Expected hours: 22 per week
