Licensed Mental Health Professional

Job Summary
The Licensed Mental Health Facilitator provides mental health services, counseling, intervention, and support to individuals experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges. The facilitator collaborates with families, educators, healthcare providers, and community agencies to promote positive mental health outcomes and ensure access to appropriate services. The position will service the population of Discovery Schools(Discovery Academy of Lake Alfred and Discovery High School).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct mental health screenings, assessments, and evaluations within the scope of licensure.
  • Provide individual, group, and crisis counseling services.
  • Develop and implement treatment, intervention, or support plans.
  • Monitor client progress and maintain accurate documentation and case records.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when necessary.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, administrators, social workers, healthcare providers, and community agencies.
  • Consult with families and caregivers regarding mental health concerns and available resources.
  • Facilitate referrals to community-based mental health services and support programs.
  • Deliver training, workshops, and educational programs related to mental health awareness and wellness.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, ethical standards, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in professional development activities to maintain licensure and enhance professional skills.

Experience

  • Licensed as a Mental Health Professional (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or equivalent) with current licensure in the relevant state or jurisdiction
  • Proven experience delivering psychotherapy across diverse settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, or community health programs
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with children & family counseling, pediatrics, geriatrics, or individuals with disabilities including autism spectrum disorder
  • Hands-on experience with crisis management techniques and crisis intervention protocols in high-pressure environments
  • Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical records management, and HIPAA regulations
  • Strong background in behavioral health modalities such as behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology collaboration, social work practices, and special education support
  • Experience utilizing telehealth technology for remote patient care delivery is highly preferred

Pay: From $54,000.00 per year
