Licensed Mental Health Therapist

We are expanding at Knapp Psychological Services, a growing outpatient mental health practice serving children, adolescents, and adults across our Brighton and Milford locations. We are seeking compassionate, motivated Licensed Mental Health Therapists who value clinical autonomy, a supportive team environment, and the stability of a W-2 position. This role offers a flexible schedule, consistent referral flow, and a collaborative atmosphere designed to help clinicians focus on meaningful client care without the burden of running a private practice alone.

Our therapists benefit from a structured split-fee compensation model, established administrative support, furnished offices, and a strong referral base. We prioritize clinician well-being, sustainable caseload expectations, and a professional environment where therapists can grow long-term.

Position Highlights

  • W-2 employment model
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Established referral base
  • In-person outpatient setting (Brighton & Milford)
  • Supportive team culture
  • Administrative and billing support provided

Qualifications

  • Treatment Planning skills
  • Expertise in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
  • Licensure as a mental health practitioner in the state of Michigan required
  • Experience in private practice settings is a plus

This position is ideal for licensed therapists who want the stability of W-2 employment while maintaining flexibility and clinical autonomy. You may be a great fit if you:

  • Enjoy working in a collaborative outpatient environment
  • Value consistent referrals without needing to market yourself
  • Prefer focusing on client care rather than administrative tasks
  • Are looking for a long-term professional home with growth opportunities
  • Appreciate a supportive team culture and clear expectations

At Knapp Psychological Services, we believe clinicians do their best work when they feel supported, respected, and valued as professionals. Unlike high-volume agency settings or fully independent contractor roles, our W-2 model provides structure and stability while still allowing therapists flexibility and clinical independence.

Our team culture emphasizes collaboration, sustainable caseload expectations, and a welcoming outpatient environment where therapists can grow long-term. With furnished office spaces, administrative support, and a strong referral base, clinicians can focus on what matters most, providing meaningful care to clients without the stress of running a business alone.
