Join our diverse dynamic mental health team as a part-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist, dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to diverse populations. In this role, you will deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions across outpatient and inpatient settings, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, manage crises, and achieve personal growth. Responsibilities

  • Works professionally well independently
  • Communicates client needs/updates for supports
  • Completes documentation within twenty four hours
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to inform treatment planning.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Engage in crisis management and crisis intervention to ensure immediate safety and stabilization for clients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans that incorporate case management, social work principles, and patient care best practices.
  • Document all clinical interactions accurately in medical records while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services for remote or underserved populations.
  • Support research initiatives by collecting data, analyzing outcomes, and contributing to clinical research projects focused on behavioral health advancements.

Requirements

  • Valid Illinois licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC) with current state certification.
  • Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
  • Strong skills in crisis management, behavior management, patient assessment, and medical documentation.
  • Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic purposes and CPT coding for billing procedures.
  • Experience delivering services via Telehealth platforms with an understanding of HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and experience working in outpatient or inpatient clinical settings.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, and those facing gender issues or chronic pain challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care; flexibility to adapt to various clinical environments. Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
