Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Licensed Optician to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will assist patients in selecting eyewear, ensure accurate measurements, and provide exceptional customer service. Your expertise will help deliver clear vision solutions while maintaining high standards of optical care and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in choosing frames and lenses that meet their needs and preferences
• Take precise measurements for eyewear fitting, including pupillary distance and frame adjustments
• Educate patients on lens options, lens coatings, and proper eyewear care
• Verify insurance benefits and process optical prescriptions accurately
• Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Manage laboratory tasks such as lens edging and frame repairs with accuracy
• Support retail sales efforts by providing product knowledge and promoting eyewear collections

Requirements

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Optician in accordance with state regulations
• Strong knowledge of ophthalmology, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Experience with Crystal Practice Management systems
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to interpret medical records, prescriptions, and coding related to eye care services
• Knowledge of retail sales principles, retail math, and inventory management
• Experience working in clinics or medical settings with an understanding of vital signs and medical billing processes
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
