Licensed Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Pharmacy (COMPOUNDING)Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accurate patient care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Your expertise will support critical functions in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy, hospital settings, and acute care environments, contributing to safe medication management and exceptional patient service. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, NON sterile compounding.
  • Assist with medication intake, medication administration, and patient service to ensure timely delivery of prescriptions
  • Maintain precise records of medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient interactions in accordance with regulatory guidelines
  • Support hospital and acute care teams by providing critical care experience, including understanding medical terminology and hospital protocols
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards related to aseptic technique and medication handling in sterile environments
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to verify prescriptions, clarify medication orders, and facilitate effective patient care
  • Participate in medication reconciliation processes and monitor for potential drug interactions or contraindications

Requirements

  • Valid licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in accordance with state regulations
  • MUST HAVE 5+ YEARS OF EXPERIANCE IN RETAIL AND COMPOUNDING.
  • Digital Rx is a must known requirement.
  • Proven pharmacy technician experience, preferably within LTC pharmacy or hospital settings
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and aseptic techniques.
  • Critical care experience or background working in acute care environments is a significant plus
  • Excellent patient service skills with a focus on patient care and safety
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy

Pay: $24.80 - $35.00 per hour
