Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant - PRN

Job Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - PRN, This position offers the opportunity to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Implement prescribed treatment plans under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
  • Assist with therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatment, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist for ongoing care adjustments.
  • Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings through education and functional training.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including treatment notes, progress reports, and adherence to all documentation standards.
  • Ensure a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines during all patient interactions.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on patient care plans to optimize recovery outcomes.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices.
  • Experience with outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments.
  • Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and therapeutic exercises for diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics.
  • Familiarity with discharge planning processes and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to adapt treatment approaches for orthopedic cases, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care scenarios.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to supporting recovery at every stage of healing.
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation standards and compliance requirements for healthcare settings. Pay: $24.16 - $29.09 per hour
