Licensed Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Overview

Medical Associates of Richmond is seeking a Part-Time or Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing multidisciplinary medical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate provider looking to expand clinical skills in both primary care and specialty-based medicine within a collaborative practice environment.

Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided by our experienced physicians and clinical team. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments for individuals with acute and chronic medical conditions.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.

Manage and prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Identify patients who may benefit from advanced or interventional treatments and coordinate scheduling with the physician team.

Assist with and potentially perform in-office procedures after appropriate training.

Document all visits accurately and efficiently in our EMR system.

Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and preventive care strategies.

Participate in team-based discussions to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Active Virginia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (or eligibility to obtain).

National Board Certification (FNP, AGNP, or equivalent for NPs; NCCPA certification for PAs).

DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start).

BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.

Experience in primary care or specialty care is helpful but not mandatory.

New graduates are encouraged to apply — structured mentorship and clinical training will be provided.

Current malpractice insurance coverage or eligibility to obtain coverage prior to start.
