Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Licensed Plumber/Excavator Operator to join our construction team. This role combines expert plumbing skills with proficient excavation and heavy machinery operation to support various construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and ready to tackle diverse tasks on active construction sites. Your expertise will ensure the successful installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems while safely operating excavators and related equipment to facilitate efficient project progress.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and heavy machinery safely and efficiently to assist with site preparation, trenching, and installation of plumbing systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings following blueprints and schematics.
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete plumbing tasks.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications; perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Collaborate with team members such as carpenters, HVAC technicians, and general contractors to coordinate project activities.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols; assist in remodeling or renovation projects as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including logs of inspections, repairs, and installation progress.
- Follow all safety procedures on construction sites; ensure proper handling of hazardous materials when applicable.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction plumbing with a solid understanding of plumbing codes and standards.
- Hands-on experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery in a construction environment.
- Knowledge of welding techniques, pipe threading, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation.
- Familiarity with Plumbing systems, mechanical knowledge related to building infrastructure, and general construction site experience.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, quantities, and material estimations.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and assembly techniques for various construction tasks.
