Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate, patient-centered care during the overnight shift from 6pm to 6am. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various nursing practices, including acute and chronic care, with a focus on delivering safe, effective, and personalized treatment. Duties

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine care needs.
  • Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions, while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
  • Manage complex cases involving pain management, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care for diverse patient populations.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document medical records, medical documentation, and patient information efficiently.
  • Assist with medical procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, venipuncture, suturing, and sterile processing techniques.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
  • Provide triage services by evaluating urgent patient needs and prioritizing treatments within emergency medicine or urgent care environments.
  • Support patients with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized memory or behavioral health interventions.
  • Participate in discharge planning, case management, and post-acute care coordination to promote optimal recovery outcomes.

Skills

  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation.
  • Extensive critical care experience including ICU, Emergency Room, Level I Trauma Center, or Level II Trauma Center environments.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation procedures.
  • Skilled in IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration (including injections), and sterile technique practices.
  • Experience working with diverse populations such as pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (including dementia and Alzheimer's care), and individuals with disabilities.
  • Familiarity with infection control protocols and safety standards such as OSHA guidelines and HIPAA compliance.
  • Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, specimen collection/processing, and airway management effectively.
  • Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support accurate patient assessment and treatment planning.

Pay: $30.63 - $35.69 per hour
