We are seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPNs) to join Radiant Medical Staffing to provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living communities, based on the needs of our clients. This flexible per-diem position allows you to choose your schedule and work in different environments based on your experience, while providing excellent care to patients.:
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any side effects or reactions.
- Monitoring Vital Signs: Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Wound Care: Perform routine wound care and assist with dressing changes, especially for residents with chronic wounds or ulcers.
- Resident Care: Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and ambulation.
- Care Plans: Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans for individual residents. Work with RNs and doctors to ensure the best care for each patient.
- Charting and Documentation: Accurately document patient care, changes in conditions, and any treatments or medications provided.
- Supervision: Supervise and provide guidance to nursing assistants or aides who assist with personal care.
- Communication: Communicate with families about the patient’s status and changes in health. Report any concerns or changes in patient condition to the RN or physician.
- Rehabilitation Assistance: Help with physical therapy exercises, range of motion, and assisting residents in their mobility.
- Patient Education: Provide basic education on post-treatment care, discharge instructions, and disease management.
- Emergency Response: Assist in handling emergency situations by providing first aid, CPR, or other supportive measures until more advanced care is available based on the DNR status.
- IV Therapy and Blood Draws: LPNs may have the responsibility to start and maintain IV lines, administer fluids or medications via IV, and draw blood samples under supervision.
REQUIREMENTS:- Valid LPN license in applicable state is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a healthcare setting (e.g., hospitals, nursing homes, or assisted living).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or CPR depending on placement setting.
- Ability to work independently and manage your schedule within our staffing app.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Flexibility to work in different healthcare environments, including varying shifts and locations
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test (if required by facility).
- Reliable transportation to travel to various client locations.
