Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Mental Health Clinic

Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will play a key role in supporting patient care within the clinic and in six affiliated group homes. This position is responsible for providing direct nursing services, coordinating care, and ensuring compliance with medication and documentation standards. The LPN will work closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support client health and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage patient appointments within the clinic.
• Administer injections and other prescribed treatments in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Review and monitor Medication Administration Records (MARs) for six group homes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and safety.
• Document nursing services and clinical interventions in the electronic health record system for billing and compliance purposes.
• Collaborate with group home staff, prescribers, and clinic providers to support medication management and patient safety.
• Provide patient and staff education regarding medication, treatment adherence, and wellness.
• Participate in quality assurance activities as needed.
• Qualifications -
• Current LPN license in the District of Columba (in good standing)
• 1-2 years nursing experience required; behavioral health or group home experience strongly preferred.
• Strong skills in documentation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibility across multiple care sites.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working with individuals experiencing mental health conditions in both clinic and community settings.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 per hour
