At Minden Physician Practices, you can expect to engage in a variety of patient-focused tasks daily. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians with patient examinations, taking vital signs, and documenting medical histories. You will be expected to effectively communicate with patients, addressing their inquiries and providing empathetic support to enhance their experience. In addition, you will manage and maintain medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times. Collaborating with a team will be key, as you'll participate in discussions about patient care and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your typical schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance with no nights or weekends required.
To succeed as a PRN LPN or Certified Medical Assistant at Minden Medical Center, you'll need to possess a combination of clinical and interpersonal skills. A Louisiana Licensed LPN or Certified Medical Assistant certification is required for this role, along with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures. Experience in a Pediatric Clinic setting is preferred, as it equips you with the specialized knowledge to cater to younger patients effectively. Strong communication skills are essential, enabling you to interact empathetically with patients and their families.
Attention to detail is critical for accurately documenting patient information and health histories. Additionally, proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical software tools will be necessary for managing patient data and maintaining confidentiality.
