Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our growing team at Humura Care Center. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and substance use and alcohol counseling to adults. OFFICE HOURS: Monday - Friday 9AM- 2PM

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough intake assessments, develop treatment plan and monitor client progress.
• Facilitate recovery focused interventions and support relapse prevention strategies.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with ethical, professional and regulatory standards.
• Facilitate individual sessions in outpatient setting.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical documentation and medical records with precision while ensuring confidentiality.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, and case managers to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent credential.
• Proven experience in behavioral health is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology related to mental health care.
• Experience in substance use disorder and alcohol treatment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis management skills and crisis intervention training.
• Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Knowlege of evidence based treatment approaches and recovery principles.
