Join our dynamic mental health team as a Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate, where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based psychotherapy and support services to diverse populations. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and treatment planning.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Implement evidence-based interventions including motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans, coordinate case management efforts, and ensure seamless patient care delivery.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, utilizing medical terminology and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Provide specialized support for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or chronic pain conditions through tailored behavioral therapies and social work practices.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives to enhance treatment protocols and contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices.
Experience
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field from an accredited institution; licensure or licensure eligibility as a Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate required.
- Prior experience working with children, adolescents, adults or geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient settings preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art or dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience with crisis management protocols, medical documentation standards, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), and telehealth platforms is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders; experience in special education or pediatric settings is a plus.
