Join our dynamic mental health team as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive psychological services to diverse populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, and crisis intervention within outpatient, inpatient, or telehealth settings. You will be instrumental in conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing both individual and group counseling to promote mental wellness and resilience. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions incorporating modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
  • Deliver specialized counseling services including addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, medical records, and HIPAA-compliant records while adhering to confidentiality standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management, patient care plans, and clinical research initiatives to optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to mental health services across diverse geographic locations.

Skills

  • Proven experience in psychotherapy, behavioral health, and clinical counseling across outpatient or inpatient settings.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical terminology for precise documentation.
  • Expertise in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and social work principles.
  • Skilled in working with children, adolescents, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or special education needs.
  • Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and psychopharmacology considerations.
  • Excellent patient assessment skills combined with experience in intake procedures and diagnostic evaluation processes.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure the protection of patient privacy during all aspects of care delivery.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging clients in individual or group therapy sessions while demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity.
