We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. The LPC, LCSW, or Psychologist will work in outpatient clinics, or via telehealth platforms, ensuring accessible and effective care for all clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing DSM-V coding systems to accurately determine client needs.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, person center therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therAPY(ACT).
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma.
  • Provide specialized counseling for issues including grief, addiction, PTSD care, gender identity concerns, chronic pain management, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans while maintaining HIPAA-compliant medical documentation and accurate medical records.
  • Utilize telehealth experience to deliver remote counseling services effectively while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Engage in clinical research or data collection initiatives to enhance treatment approaches and contribute to the broader behavioral health knowledge base.

Skills

  • Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and social work principles.
  • Strong proficiency in motivational interviewing to foster client engagement and facilitate behavior change.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, geriatrics, or individuals with disabilities—especially those with autism or developmental delays—and familiarity with special education settings.
  • Ability to manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management skills.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes is a plus.
  • Excellent patient care skills combined with strong case management capabilities for outpatient or inpatient settings.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health counseling practices.
  • Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms while adhering to HIPAA standards for confidentiality.
  • Competence in conducting intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning across diverse populations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
